EMBROIDERY FILES:
We create custom embroidery files of your character’s face, perfect for plush artists and fans who want to sew a plushie of their OC, anime or game character! Each design is made to order based on your reference and ready to be embroidered on your handmade plush.
We also offer modifications of our pre-designed faces. If you like one of our existing designs but want a different expression, a change in the eyes, pupil shape, mouth or small details, you can request adjustments instead of a fully new design.

Price
The base price for a fully custom face embroidery design starts at €70 / $77 USD, and the final price depends on the complexity of the design and the number of versions requested.
As a general guideline for full commissions:
- Simple to medium designs (clean lines, standard expressions, moderate detail) ➔ €70–100 / $80–115 USD
- High complexity designs (very detailed eyes, scars, markings, special effects, etc.) ➔ €100+ / $115+ USD
- Multiple versions of the same face (different expressions or variations) ➔ €100+ / $115+ USD, depending on the number of versions and complexity
For modifications of existing MonPattern face designs, prices start from €15 / $16 USD. The final price depends on how many changes are requested and how much the original design needs to be adjusted.
Each face is priced individually based on the character and your request. A final quote will always be provided before starting the commission.

How It Works
1. Price quote period
When face commissions are open, you can request a quote by filling out our form. Once we receive your request, we review your character references and the details you’d like to include (expressions, eye colours, scars, etc.) to determine how the design can be translated into an embroidery file.
Modifications of existing designs can sometimes be accepted even when face commissions are closed. This depends on the amount of work required for the modification. If we see that we can handle it within our current workload, we may accept the request. In these cases, please email us at info@monpattern.com to check if your modification can be accepted.
We usually reply within 3-5 business days. Depending on the complexity of the design or our current workload, it may take up to 7-10 business days. If you don’t receive an email, please remember to check your spam folder or send us a message.
2. Scheduling & Waiting List
Face commissions are scheduled based on availability. If we have an open slot at the time of your request, we’ll let you know the start date for your commission. If no slots are currently available, we’ll add you to the waiting list and notify you as soon as a spot opens.
To confirm your slot, full payment is required. Payments are non-refundable once the commission has started.
3. Slot Reservation
Each month has a limited number of face commission slots. When your project is ready to be scheduled, we’ll assign you a start date based on our availability. To reserve your slot, full payment is required. Payments are non-refundable.
3. Payment
Payment is made through our online store using a custom product created for your commission. You can use any of the payment methods available on our website.
4. Creation of Your Face Design
On your assigned start date, we begin working on your face commission following this process:
1 - Sketches – We create a face sketch based on your references and send it to you for review.
2 - Review & Approval – You can request changes to the sketch (up to 2 revision rounds).
3 - Embroidery File Creation – Once the sketch is approved, we create the embroidery file and test it on our embroidery machines to ensure everything stitches correctly.
The estimated production time is around 1 month, depending on complexity and the number of versions requested.
5. Delivery
This is a digital product. Once the commission is finished, you’ll receive an email with a download link to your embroidery files.
Face commissions FAQ
What face styles do you accept?
We accept face designs in anime, video game, cartoon, and OC styles, but we do not create realistic faces, real people, or non-face designs.
The commission will be created in our own style. We will do our best to match your reference images as closely as possible. Please see our prior work for examples of our style before commissioning us.
Do you accept all commission requests?
We accept any commission as long as the design can be realistically translated into an embroidery file. However, if the design is very complex or we have a high workload, we might have to decline the request.
Do you make custom faces in sewing pattern format?
We currently don’t accept commissions for custom faces in sewing pattern format. At the moment, we only create custom face embroidery files.
What includes?
Digital embroidery file to sew the eyes with an embroidery machine. It includes a design worksheet (Design size, bobbin length, color sequence, hooping sequence, thread charts, etc).
Do you accept face commissions for plushes that aren’t MonPattern designs?
Normally, we don’t. To accept a commission for a plush that isn’t one of our designs, the client must provide a flat, scaled drawing of the face with the exact measurements for the pattern. Since we didn’t create the plush, we don’t know where each facial element (eyes, mouth, etc.) should be placed.
A simple reference image or just sending us the plush pattern is not enough. You can send us a drawing of the face on the pattern, and we can redraw it for embroidery, but the base measurements are necessary to ensure everything stitches correctly.
Can you modify embroidery files from other artists?
No, we don’t accept modifications of embroidery files made by other artists. We only work on files created by us or make modifications to our own designs.
What are your exchanges, returns and refunds policy?
The purchase of a customized product is considered an outright purchase. The order cannot be canceled, exchanged or refunded under any circumstances. We remind our customers that they must be totally sure of their purchase.
We reserve the right to cancel or deny your customized product for any reason. A full refund will be issued in this circumstance.
Licensing
The sale of the PDF, pattern or embroidery file is NOT allowed. You can only sell the finished product.
When you use our patterns for your products, you MUST credit our shop: www.monpattern.com.

⋆ DO NOT sell modified versions of our patterns or PDF, since that would qualify as derivate work.
Can you make changes to my patterns?
You can make changes to the original design when sewing your own version of the pattern. However, you must mention that it is a modification of a MonPattern product, since that would qualify as derivative work. Even so, modified versions of our PDF instructions and patterns are not allowed for sale despite being derivative works.
